The prize package included:

We would like to thank everyone who entered the competition, and are delighted to announce that the winners of the packages are:

Marti Nemet and Meena Bebawy

Both successfully completed the missions of the competition and we will be seeing them in Darwin at the National Conference in September - all expenses taken care of courtesy of Suncorp.

Suncorp is committed to assisting us with ongoing education of our Brokers and their sponsorship of this competition is clear evidence of this commitment. We would like to thank Suncorp for their ongoing support specifically in helping us deliver a better educational experience to you.

This year's National Conference in Darwin gathers on the land of the Traditional Owners - the Larrakia People. In times of adversity and struggle the strength of family is even more important to the Larrakia People and we also should look to each other for support as we bring the Vow and YBR families together at this event.

Our industry has been through an enormous amount of change and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future and we will equip you to find opportunities in such times. The objective of this year's Conference is to be content rich and you will also have time to hear from your peers to become even more successful. We have engaged the Disney Institute to guide you through the importance of the customer and we have organised a number of topic specific sessions to better equip you in your businesses. We will provide you with the platform to take you into a Whole New World.

With Marti and Meena on their way to the National Conference, will we be seeing YOU in Darwin?

Helping Business Owners Get Finance That Fits

The biggest barrier for small business growth is access to finance. Small businesses are particularly feeling the brunt of the credit crunch, as lenders tighten their requirements in the wake of the Banking Royal Commission. Developed by The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO) and Scottish Pacific Business Finance, this guide gives your advisers the tools to help their clients access capital and look at the most appropriate funding solutions for their business needs.

The Business Funding Guide will help your members:

  • Identify key indicators that business clients may need funding
  • Prepare clients for a funding application: getting business accounts in order, write and review a business plan and conduct a finance fitness check
  • To start a conversation with clients about funding options
  • Identify the questions clients should ask their lender if their loan application is rejected

You can download the Business Funding Guide to help your clients achieve growth, and the FitsME: Essential Guide to Business Funding to share with your members here.
